Pumpkin Patch

Holland went with her class to the pumpkin patch and then we took both girls together to the same one.  Here is Holland with her class.

Holland picks out the smallest pumpkin while Britton would choose a large one. Britton didn't want any help carrying her pumpkin either. They had a blast. The girls tried to chase the geese, patted every pumpkin, and helped us pick out plants for our flower bed. 

Pioneer Reunion

It was a very rough September for our family so our involvement with Pioneer Reunion this year was very limited.  We went to one rodeo, no parades, I didn't work the PR dinners.  We had to make ourselves go to the one rodeo.  Hence my lack of any rodeo attire for the girls. 

 

 

Holland's first day of school

Holland is in the 4 year old class this year.  She was very sad to be leaving Ms. W's class since she was with her for the 2 and 3 year old classes.  But, she was excited to see Ms. C and all her classmates.  She's such a big girl.  Walked in like normal.

Chuck E Cheese

Britton had not been to Chuck E Cheese until we took the girls after Holland's Meet The Teacher Night.  Britton loved it all!  They both were moving so fast I could barely get any pictures. 

Summer Fun

Holland received a spray ball for her birthday and she was dying to play with it.  Little did she realize that the ball would spray water in her face, which she hates.  Britton tried to eat the water.  But the girls did have fun.  Of course, they got bored after a little while and went to play on the swing set.

 

The PVFD had a hot dog feed/see the new brush truck they received during the summer.  Britton couldn't wait to climb up on top of it. 

Spray Park

Our church had a fundraiser for a Mission Trip to Kenya at the IP Spray Park.  Holland and Britton had a blast!  Unfortunately, the two times we went to the Spray Park this year, it rained both days.  First time was Molly's birthday party and this time.  Holland didn't like water in her face and Britton was a daredevil.

 

This one melts my heart.  Holland wanted to protect Britton and help her into the water.  I'm so proud they love each other so much!

 

Aunt & Uncle

I'm happy to announce that Kirk and I will have another niece or nephew next year.  Kate and Matt are pregnant with their first child due around Valentine's Day.  Congratulations to Kate and Matt!  We are so happy for you both!!

Farmers Market

Kirk and I have been working with the girls to try new and different foods this summer.  We went to the Farmers Market several Saturday mornings, went to the Peach Festival, and Kirk has made a lot of different recipes for the girls to try.  Here are the girls at the Peach Festival.  It was hot that day!  The girls weren't too happy about the heat. 



 

We took the girls to the Saturday Farmers Market days in WF.  Holland loved picking out fruits/veggies and paying for them.  Britton loved eating everything they had to offer.  Here she is eating black eyed peas.

 

Kirk made several different recipes for the girls, including things like chicken croquettes and spinach quesadillas.  Kirk and I learned that Holland is a little picky, luckily not as bad as me, and Britton eats anything and everything. 

All about the girls

Holland's swing set/playhouse is finally put together.  Kirk had to bring in dirt and work on leveling the yard before it could be set up.  The girls love it!  Holland wants to sell lemonade out of it.  Too bad it's been over 100 degrees this week so they have only played on it one afternoon.  

Britton has out grown the high chair.  She has been dying to sit at the table with Holland so this weekend, she was moved out of the high chair and into the booster seat at the table with Holland.  Britton felt like such a big girl.  At 19 months, she's feeding herself with a fork and trying to grow up way too fast.  My girls love their toasted bagels with peanut butter and jelly.  I can call them my girls when it comes to peanut butter since their daddy can't stand peanut butter. :) 

Jump 4 Joy...... Holland's turning 4!

Holland celebrated her 4th birthday at Jump for Joy. We used her favorite thing, Hello Kitty, as her theme. Holland and the kids had a blast playing! She had so much fun with her family and friends.

After an hour of playing, it was time for cake. Holland asked about the candles on her cake all morning.  She wanted to make sure she was getting four candles to blow out.  So, when it came time for cake, Holland couldn't wait to blow out the candles and blew them out before we could start singing "Happy Birthday" to her.  They were nice enough to relight her candles so she could blow them out again after the song. 

After eating cake, Holland couldn't wait to sit in the big chair to open her gifts.  Holland received so much nice stuff from family and friends.  Lots of clothes, toys, money, books, and we got her a wood gym/swing set. 

Finally, she got to put her hand print up on the wall.  She chose purple paint, which is totally out of character for her.

On the drive home, Britton passed out and Holland asked if she was four years old now.  We had to explain that her official birthday isn't until the 19th and that we just celebrated her birthday today. Why do kids want to grow up too fast!?!  I still can't believe she is four in a few days!
