A day of new things

Holland had a very exciting day! She started pulling up a little, started using her big girl car seat, and got a new bathtub. Mommer was put in the hospital late last night, so we went over to see her. She had really high blood pressure and still has some other issues the doctors are running tests for. Hopefully she will be home soon.

8 months old

Holland is 8 months old today! I'm still amazed how fast it goes by. She is changing every day! She talks all the time. She says mamama, dadada, papapa, byebyebye, and the most recent word is dododo. She still hasn't gotten any teeth in. Holland is doing great with pushing up and sitting up, I'm just waiting for her to start crawling. Here is one of her photos with Dixie.

Hard decisions in life

The job offer previously mentioned was offered again to me. I was called Sunday night and told to name my price. They said they wanted me on their team and would do anything to get me there. It was such an honor to hear that, but end the end, I still declined. Granted this time it took me longer to decide what to do. I wanted the job, but I wasn't 100% sure it was the best move for me and my family.

We had Holland's 8 month photos taken last night. We used a Valentine's theme. I can't wait to see them!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a very relaxed Valentine's day. We slept in, hung around the house, and watched TV. The weather wasn't the best today, so it made it even more enjoyable to stay in. We gave Holland a Valentine's teddy bear and she loved it.

We also gave her a biter biscuit for her to gnaw on after supper. Those biscuits are messy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

A child's laugh

I had an interesting day today. I was offered a new job, and after much discussion with Kirk and family, I decided to decline the offer. I've been praying for an easy and good decision for our family with this situation. After the stress of the day, I get home to enjoy time with Holland. Only a child can look at you and make all the stress just wash away and be so meaningless. Here is my baby daughter and her laughter that brighten my day.

Other good news for the day is the Hybrid Mariner flipped 5,000 miles and got up to an average of 31.4 mpg. Yeah!!!!

Super Bowl Party

Mom had her annual Super Bowl Party. It was good fun! Lots of family and friends. Holland ended up winning $25 on our quarter betting sheet. Yahoo!!!! Here is Holland relaxing right before the party.

Here is Holland boozing it up on Dasani water. She loves to drink bottle water with me now instead of using her sippy cup.

The Adams family taught everyone a new game, LCR. Everyone really enjoyed it.

Here is everyone watching the 3-D commercials after the 2nd quarter. Way cool!

Jumper fun

Holland absolutely loves her Baby Einstein Musical Jumper. She plays, jumps, turns and loves to explore all the fun toys it comes with.

Worked cattle

This weekend has been busy so far. We got up yesterday to work some cattle. Holland came out for a little bit to see the new baby calf and pet the bull. Then, we went over to help Grannie get ready for her SuperBowl party.

1st snow.... and ice

We all got to enjoy 2 days off from work last week to stay in from the snow and ice. Holland got to see her first snow.

Daddy ran out real fast to take a picture and then ran back in.
