Disney World - Day 3 (Animal Kingdom)

Our day started out with a lazy morning getting up and around.  We got dressed and made our way to Animal Kingdom.

Lunch was at the Rainforest CafĂ©.  Girls loved it!  The noises, thunderstorm sounds, and moving animals entertained us all.

Why yes............ I do believe we will celebrate and have the Sparkling Volcano dessert. :)  Total yumfest!

We rode through the safari, walked around the park, and checked out the animals.  What fun!

It was getting pretty warm so we decided to watch The Lion King show.  Oh my gravy........ I cried.... for the 3rd time.  That movie makes me cry anyways, but to hear it live like they perform on Broadway was awesome.

 Who had fun today!?!?!

More Disney Magic!!!!

After a pretty hot day at Animal Kingdom, we were ready for some relaxing pool time.  Here are our girls probably thinking, "not another picture Mom, we want to go swim!"

The Wilderness Lodge has activities each night and this night, they had roasted marshmallows and a movie.  We didn't stay up for the movie, but the girls had fun roasting marshmallows with Daddy.

The girls found the playground and had a blast!

Disney World - Day 2 (Magic Kingdom)

Our first full day was filled with magic as we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's and spent the day at Magic Kingdom. Breakfast was so good. Kirk and I filled up on the breakfast buffet while the girls enjoyed seeing Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. We absolutely loved the variety of food and of course, the Mickey waffles!

Next.... a boat ride over to Magic Kingdom.  It's really so easy to get around WDW.  There are boats, buses, and tram.  The girls loved riding all of them.

Let me just say, I cried walking up to the castle.  It's amazing seeing something like the Magic Kingdom castle your whole life on videos, pictures, and commercials and then experiencing it in person.  Words couldn't describe my happiness and joy being there with my family and seeing Magic Kingdom for the first time all together.

When we were having our pictures taken (PhotoPass+), the photographer asked the girls to pretend they were looking at something in their hands.  Well, imagine our surprise when we ordered this photo and it's Tinkerbell!  I added a little sparkle and the photo is so cute!

Time for one of the shows!

Now, time for the Magic Carpet ride!  Holland loved making us go up and down and Britton loved riding.

We grabbed some lunch and went back to the hotel for a nap.  The girls were pooped.  After nap, we changed clothes and headed back to Magic Kingdom for supper, more rides, and the fireworks.

Ahhh, the Dumbo ride.  I've seen this on commercials for years and always wanted to ride it.

Under the Sea was the coolest ride.  We all loved it!

The nighttime show consists of the castle changing colors every minute or so, then a 15 minute musical show projected on to the castle that had every Disney movie featured in it, then the fireworks!  The girls LOVED it all!  It was cool, they were comfy in the stroller, and we were at a great spot.

And................ I cried again during the fireworks.  Words couldn't describe my happiness seeing the fireworks in person.  So awesome!

The pictures below are from Disney.  I recorded the fireworks instead of taking a bunch pictures.  :)

Disney World - Day 1 (Arrival & Epcot)

We have been planning our Walt Disney World (WDW) trip to celebrate Holland's 5th birthday for over a year now.  None of us have been to WDW so we were all very excited.  Our trip started at 4:00 am getting up to drive to the WF airport.  Here are the girls before their first airplane ride.

They did great!  They were quiet, looked around, and had a great time.  Now for another flight from DFW to Orlando.  Here they are after their first airplane ride!

WDW picked us up on their Magical Express.  It was so exciting!  I don't know who was more excited, me or the girls!?!?!

We wanted to stay close to Magic Kingdom so we chose the Wilderness Lodge.  It was amazing!  Looks like a huge log cabin and even has a geyser!  Here's the view from our balcony.

After a change of clothes, we we're on our way to Epcot!

At Epcot, we saw Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, Snow White, Mary Poppins, and Alice (in Wonderland).  It's so cool to see these characters and how they act in character.  Mary Poppins was British and told us to have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day and Alice in Wonderland asked Holland what rabbit hole she came down.  Sooooo cool!!!  Now, Britton couldn't wait to see them from far away, but when we would get up close to any character, she would shy away and act scared.  Holland was the opposite.  She couldn't wait to see and hug all the characters.  One more awesome thing is the Disney PhotoPass+.  For one price, we received over 300 photos of Disney characters, locations, parks, etc AND we received ALL 365 park photos taken of us on a CD.  Before you order your free photo CD, you can edit and add Disney magic to all of the photos.  Amazing!!!

At night on the lake, we heard something and looked out our window to see a boat parade........ for a better word for it.  There was music playing while these light up characters go by.
It's been a long day......... time for bed.
